Question: Can the landlord charge me more because I have a pet?
Answer: Yes. The landlord may charge extra rent and/or a nonrefundable pet fee in exchange for allowingyou to keep a pet in the apartment.
Furthermore, the landlord may charge more for some types or sizes of pets than for others: or, my prohibit pets completely.
Any agreement you have with the landlord about pets should be included in the written lease.

Your home is For Sale. Maybe it has been for quite some time. You get showings maybe even offers. Unfortunately, in this market, you just can’t find a buyer who’ll pay a reasonable price for your home. Are you thinking your only choices are to keep it or sell it for a loss? Well, maybe you could rent it but that sounds like a dangerous time consuming effort. You’d still really like to sell it but you sure don’t want to go another year without any money coming in and plenty going out. What do you do?
Typically a property management company keeps about 10% or less of the gross monthly rent. The first question you should ask yourself is how much am I saving if I do it myself. Is it worth it?
A Property Manager typically handles virtually every aspect regarding a rental property. Marketing the property, accessing potential tenants, ensuring proper leases are signed, handling maintenance requests, collecting rent, and maintaining records for tax purposes are just some of the examples.
